A small moated castle with a park
Aistersheim Castle is a castle with a moat built in the late Renaissance in the centre of the village of Aistersheim in Upper Austria, around 12 km south-west of Grieskirchen. The castle is completely surrounded by a moat, over which two wooden bridges lead to the stark castle gates. The almost two and a half metre-thick external walls rest on a large number of wooden piles. The castle is over 850 years old and is today used as a cultural centre.
The castle is situated in a park facility. Part of the pathway edging was constructed using garden profile. The stainless steel edging ensures clean separation of stones, gravel, grass and vegetation.
